I was born in the late 70's and I like to play computer games. I'm finding as I get older I don't have patience for flame wars, forums users or fan boys. Just go away and let me play games!
In which a fool and his system are soon parted...

As we all know, a lot of communication on the Internet is rubbish; people simply don't take the time to moderate their own language, grammar or spelling.  Most of the time this problem is caused by the author being caught up in the moment, they're so keen on getting their “oh so important” comment out there for everyone to read that they trip over themselves typing it up.  A good example of this is stream-of-consciousness writing, where the author rambles from one point to the next without stopping for a breath.

So this doesn't happen to you I advise you take the stance of imagining that you're physically standing in front of someone and saying exactly what you're going to type.

Let's take a comment that I saw on Shacknews.com today in regards to the new Bioware game, Dragon Age.

"Is this game going to be anything like that piece of crap Ass Effect?"

Lets forget for the moment that the person who made the comment is probably 14 and hasn't figured out these weird feelings he gets in his pants when he sees the K-mart catalogue.  Would you stand in front of a developer from Bioware and say this?

No, you wouldn't, despite the amount of Internet tough guy bravado that you post saying you would.

So why are you posting it on the Internet then?

There's a scene in the movie "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" where they track down everyone who wrote something negative about them on the Internet and beat them up.

If only this was true.

Its good to be a fool. If there were no fools how would you know that you are not a fool but wise and intelligent. Ah just imagine that hallucination of being intelligent and wise. Isn't it addictive. Well, in my daily routine I never miss a chance to call my friends 'lol' esp when I managed to verify that they are physically no stronger than me. As such, they readily accept that they are lolz.

It makes me feel proud for its they who are the fools.

I agree with what he says, but if he is going to chide people for mistakes in grammar he should correct his own text prior to posting.

THanks, these things are proofread a few times but things slip through sometimes.  Kinda like Demigod.
